    Lydia Artymiw, winner of the 1978 Pro Musicis International Award, is one of the most compelling talents among pianists of her generation. The recipient of the Avery Fisher Career Grant and the Andrew Wolf Chamber Music Prize, she has performed with over one hundred orchestras worldwide. Solo recital tours have taken her to major venues in the USA, Europe and Asia. Critics have acclaimed her recordings for the Chandos, Bridge, Centaur, Pantheon and Artegra labels. Currently she is the McKnight Distinguished Professor of Piano at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Her Boston program includes works by Mozart, Messiaen, Kurtág and Schumann.
