The John Baboian Quartet consists of the leader on guitar, Daniel Ian Smith on woodwinds, Bruce Gertz on bass and Larry Finn on drums. All have been long time professors at Berklee College Of Music in Boston. Their music consists of original compositions and original arrangements of Jazz standards. They perform in a mainstream and contemporary Jazz genre. Guitarist/Composer/Educator, John Baboian, is best known for his work in the jazz & swing idioms, but he has also performed in the classical, blues, rock, R&B, Latin and World music genres. His performances include concerts, clubs, recordings, radio and TV throughout the US and Canada, as well as performances in Central America, Europe, Japan, South Africa, and the former Soviet Union including his ancestral home, Armenia. His compositions and arrangements have been heard on television shows Walker, Texas Ranger, UPN’s Seven Days, ABC’s All My Children, and HBO’s The Soprano’s. Visit www.myspace.com/johnbaboian
