WORKSHOPS

Brookline Music School presents the 6th Annual Suzuki Flute Workshop on Sunday, January 17th and Monday, January 18th from 10:00am to 5:00pm. This two-day workshop (ages 3 to adult) features a masterclass, group class and ensemble or reading class each day, concluding with an informal concert. Non-Suzuki flute students are welcome to join in the fun but should be familiar with some of the repertoire from the Suzuki Method. Each student will participate in three hours of daily classes, including a masterclass with three to four students of similar age and ability, a group repertoire class, and an ensemble. Sight reading students in Book 2 and above have the option of attending Flute Outside the Box, featuring whistles, key clicks, harmonics and more, or Comfluter, a mixture of flute and music technology. The 6th Annual Suzuki Flute Workshop instructors include Amy Poliakoff, Jennifer Laurin, PT, Kimberly Lorimier, Laurel Ann Maurer, Noelle Perrin, Norman Thibodeau, Julianne Johnston, Scott Pittman and Margaret Denton. The 6th Annual Suzuki Flute Workshop will take place at Brookline Music School, 25 Kennard Road, Brookline, MA 02445 on Sunday, January 17th and Monday, January 18th from 10:00am to 5:00pm each day. Additional offerings include housing, meals, an ice cream social and pool party at the Brookline Holiday Inn.
