The Ben Geyer Sextet celebrates the release of The Narrative, their debut album. The Sextet plays modern compositions focusing on large-scale melodic development and carefully integrated improvisation. Dana Unger of The Hippo Press writes, “Geyer has been able to find his own unique composing style.” The album narrates the unfolding plots of two stories. One shows the behavior of the ice molecule and its atoms and the other depicts the events surrounding the Biblical murder of Abel. The Ben Geyer Sextet has played at The Kitano and The Cutting Room in Manhattan, The Tea Lounge in Brooklyn, The Lily Pad, and other New England venues.
