Thursday, March 25, 2010, 6:30 PM - Nicholas Kitchen and the Borromeo String Quartet bring the music of Beethoven to life in a dynamic evening of conversation, visuals, and performance. In this multimedia program, violinist Nicholas Kitchen leads an exploration of the genesis and structure of Beethoven’s Grosse Fugue. The renowned ensemble illustrates the discussion with musical excerpts and concludes the evening with a powerful performance of the entire work. The musical score and a collage of images, projected throughout the program, fuse imagery with sound as we see and hear the music of Beethoven as never before. Followed by a wine reception around the courtyard. Presented in conjunction with the Borromeo String Quartet’s performance on Sunday, April 4, 2010 at 1:30pm
