Mesma S. Belsare—a Boston-based dancer, choreographer, actor, visual artist, and museum educator described by The New York Times as a “tour de force" visits Wellesley College. She presents an evening of evolving gender dimensions in classical Bharatanatyam dance. The performance highlights the inner workings of Indian visual culture through linkages between the visual and performing arts, and religious practices and poetic expressions.
