    Gallery Talk with Maliha Noorani, 2009–11 Norma Jean Calderwood Curatorial Fellow, Department of Islamic and Later Indian Art, Harvard Art Museum/Arthur M. Sackler Museum

    In conjunction with the installation Strolling through Isfahan: Seventeenth-Century Paintings from Safavid Iran, this gallery talk will demonstrate traditional techniques and materials used in the practice of Persian miniature painting. Maliha Noorani holds a BFA in Indian and Islamic miniature painting from the National College of Arts, Lahore, Pakistan. Strolling through Isfahan: Seventeenth-Century Paintings from Safavid Iran, a temporary installation, is on view January 8–June 13, 2010 at the Harvard Art Museum/Arthur M. Sackler Museum.

    Free with the price of admission. Open to the public.
    Gallery talks are informal and include discussion.
