Andrew W. Mellon Symposium in Conservation Science

This symposium brings together scientists, conservators, artists, and curators to discuss the conservation issues of time-based media. It will focus on current scientific and technical topics as well as possible directions for future research. Organized by Lynn Lee, Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in Conservation Science, Harvard Art Museum/Straus Center for Conservation and Technical Studies.

Speakers include Mark Hellar, Hellar Studios, San Francisco; Stephen Hobaica, Library of Congress; Peter Kirby, Media Art Services, Los Angeles; Pip Laurenson, Tate, London; Christiane Paul, Whitney Museum of American Art and The New School, New York; Jeff Rothenberg, RAND Corporation, Santa Monica; Angelo Sacerdote, Bay Area Video Coalition, San Francisco.

Free admission. Open to the public.
Reception to follow the program.
