    Thursday, February 18, 3:00 pm MAILED TO FREEDOM – HENRY “BOX” BROWN: A FAMILY PROGRAM at Historic Newton at the Jackson Homestead Mark the history of courageous people who sought their freedom from slavery at this program for kids and adults. Listen to the story of Henry’s amazing escape by packing himself in a box and mailing himself to freedom. Crawl into a replica of Henry’s box, then decide what you would have brought with you in your box if you had been in the same situation in an interactive activity. Hot cider and snacks will be served. Cost: $15 per family ($10 for members); includes museum admission, materials, and snack. Prepaid registration is recommended, call 617.796.1450 to register.
