James Pappoutsakis 30th Annual Flute Competition, Final Round

Five finalists will compete in the 30th Annual James Pappoutsakis Flute Competition, performing music of Charles Griffes, CPE Bach, and the premiere of a work by Gunther Schuller commissioned for this contest. The finalists are Youngji Ahn (New England Conservatory); Ilji Kim (New England Conservatory); Hyunjung Kwon (Boston University); Meghan Miller (Boston Univ); and Caitlyn Perry (Boston Univ). Pappoutsakis was flutist with the BSO 1937-1978 and teacher of generations of fine musicians now performing across the globe.
