New for 2010, the festival will be held in the Eden Vale Ballroom of the luxurious Westin Waltham Boston Hotel, conveniently located just off I-95/128 on Third Avenue in Waltham. Each guest enjoys champagne and samples the fare of some of Waltham’s most popular restaurants. A bounty of fine wines, served by the sommeliers of Gordon’s Liquors, complements the cuisine. In addition, Waltham area cultural attractions, such as the Waltham Philharmonic Orchestra, will provide entertainment throughout the evening, along with cooking demonstrations from Waltham’s own celebrity chefs. The festival will also showcase innovations past and present such as the James Bond DBS Aston Martin, and more. Guests have the chance to win valuable gifts such as weekend getaways, dining experiences, spa treatments, gym memberships, children’s events, birthday celebrations, and more at the silent auction.
This year’s silent auction highlights include a Cape Cod Getaway, an evening with the Red Sox, a cruise on the Charles River followed by dinner in Boston, and more. The 2010 Food and Wine Festival will feature the culinary talents of area restaurants including: Bombay Mahal, The Chateau, Domenics, Edible Arrangements, Grille at Hobbs Brook, Jake's Dixie Roadhouse, Lizzy's Homemade Ice Cream, Margaritas Mexican Restaurant, Piccadilly Pub, Seventy@3rd - Westin, Solea, Tuscan Grill, Glam Foods, Wings Express, A Taste of Chocolate, Popkins Ice Cream, The Upper Crust, Wild Flour Catering, Vinhsun BBQ and Restaurant, Hannaford Supermarket, and others.
