Moon viewing, wine, horses, and magic spells: Yamamoto Noritoshi and the Yamamoto Kyogen Company present two traditional kyogen plays: Tsukimizato (blind moon gazing), unique to the Yamamoto school, and Shidohogaku (a horse and a magic spell). Kyogen, which originated as the companion pieces to the noh tragedies in the fourteenth century, are short mimetic skits about the foolish foibles of ordinary people.
