State Representative Byron Rushing will kick off the first of our four-part spring history series with an overview of the past 380 years, from the native population to the present. His presentation will cover the richness and diversity of Roxbury’s history, beginning with its founding in 1630, and including its important role during the American Revolution, the many different groups that made Roxbury home, and the activism of the Black community. If you're unfamiliar with Roxbury's history, this is the perfect crash course.
