This course is designed for adults who would like to set side a little time to awaken their drawing skills. It will get you involved in the drawing process and encourage right brain thinking. We will practice basic rendering techniques focusing on contour, gesture, shape, and form. We will also explore expressive drawing. All materials will be provided. Nan Rumpf grew up in a small Iowa town on the banks of the Mississippi River, where she spent much of her childhood exploring the outdoors and daydreaming. She worked as a professional puppeteer, designing and constructing her own puppets and masks. She runs dramatic arts workshops in public schools and libraries. With Nan acting as art instructor, director, narrator, sound effects expert and musician; children use their artwork to dramatize a story. She wrote and illustrated the book Puppets and Masks: Stagecraft and Storytelling published by Davis Publications, 1996.
