Forays Into Middle Kingdom Egypt: Two leading Belgian Egyptologists share their work and new discoveries. Willems speaks on displays of power and authority in Middle Kingdom Egypt, specifically the colossal statue of Djehutihotep. De Meyer describes the excavation of the 4,000-year-old tomb of Henu—found similarly to Tomb 10A, high in the hills of Deir el-Bersha—shedding light on funerary beliefs in the Middle Kingdom. Harco Willems, professor of Egyptology, Leuven University, and Marleen De Meyer, Postdoctoral fellow, Deir el-Bersha Project, Leuven University
