Beginning his career as a stand-up comedian in the late 1980s, Tommy Davidson performed in venues throughout the Washington D.C. area, Baltimore and Philadelphia. He got his first real exposure when he began appearing on the variety show, In Living Color, where he impersonated people such as Sammy Davis, Jr. and Sugar Ray Leonard. Davidson’s first real stand-up special, Illin’ in Philly, was aired regularly on Comedy Central in the 1990s. His movie appearances include Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, Juwanna Man and Booty Call. Davidson also voiced Oscar Proud, the father on the Disney Channel series, The Proud Family.
