2010 Coolidge Award Reception and Ceremony Honoring Jonathan Demme

The Coolidge Corner Theatre honors internationally acclaimed director Jonathan Demme with its 2010 Coolidge Award. The festivities begin at 6:30 pm with a cocktail and hors d'oeuvres reception, followed by the Award ceremony at 8:00 pm. Screenwriter Jenny Lumet (Rachel Getting Married) will host this celebratory evening featuring surprise guests, film clips, and tributes to Demme, whose outstanding body of work encompasses feature films (Melvin and Howard, Something Wild, The Silence of the Lambs, Philadelphia, Rachel Getting Married), performance films (Stop Making Sense, Swimming to Cambodia, Neil Young Trunk Show), and documentaries (The Agronomist, Haiti: Dreams of Democracy, Jimmy Carter Man from Plains).
