Experience the beauty of Odissi, an enchanting dance from India that combines elements of poetry, sculptures, music, yoga, and drama into a supremely elegant, multi-dimensional art form. Each class will explore the connection between these elements and the dance form as the student learns to master basic postures, hand gestures, and how to convey moods and emotions through facial expressions. This class is designed for beginners with no prior experience, though is appropriate for experienced dancers who wish to incorporate aspects of Odissi into their respective styles and choreography. Everyone ages 14+ is welcome. Register by phone or online.
