Ross Melnick, film historian at UCLA, presents the lecture, "Exhibiting Change: Movie Theaters and American Culture from the 19th to the 21st Century." Images and video capture the past 100+ years of movie going. Historic theaters in the digital era are also explored. Book-signing follows. The lecture is presented in conjunction with the exhibition, "The Art of the Movie Theater."
