Boston Children's Chorus "The Human Spirit: A Choral Drama"
March 27, 2010
The Boston Children’s Chorus' Premier Choir, Young Men's Ensemble and Concert Choir will pay tribute to the amazing power of the human spirit with a free performance on March 27 at historic Bethel AME Church in Jamaica Plain. The inspiring, family-oriented program features music that highlights how in the depths of tragedy we find hope; from sadness, faith and from nature, love. BCC is an accomplished children’s singing group with nine choirs and nearly 300 singers ranging in age from 7 to 18 years old. Led by Artistic Director Anthony Trecek-King and Assistant Artistic Director Michele Adams, they seek to harness the power and joy of music as a catalyst to unite our diverse communities and inspire social change. The group has performed at the Democratic National Convention, Gov. Deval Patrick’s Inauguration, with the Boston Pops; and has toured Jordan, Mexico, Japan, Chicago, New York and Oregon.
