    Music in the New World

Music from the New World: From the Baroque to the Present JENNIFER LESTER, music director Following its proud history of presenting the new and unfamiliar along with the established masterworks, The Seraphim Singers will be exploring in its next concert infrequently performed sacred choral works from the southern American hemisphere. Ranging from a recently discovered sixteenth century parody mass composed in Guatemala by Pedro Bermudez to twentieth century gems by Hector Villa-Lobos and Alberto Ginastera, this concert program traverses the riches of an often neglected repertoire.
