WUMB Guitar Clinic - Sunday, April 11, 2010 at UMass Boston An afternoon of classes that feature instruction from Beginners to Advanced in Guitar and Mandolin. Two sessions run in early and late afternoon. Each workshop is 3 hours long. The Guitar Clinic Space Reservation form is available at www.wumb.org At 11:00am and 3:00pm, there will be people on hand to help beginners set up guitars. You are required to bring your own instrument. You will want to bring a new set of strings or we can sell you strings the day of the clinic. Schedule for early Afternoon Session 11:00am: Guitar Triage Noon-3pm: Beginning Guitar - 2 levels. Beginning and Advanced Beginners Guitar; Instructor: Martin Grosswendt, assisted by Charlie Ortolani Noon-3pm: Bluegrass Flatpicking Guitar; Instructor: Tony Watt Noon-3pm: Playing Tunes on the Guitar; Instructor: Bennett Hammond Noon-3pm: Anatomy of a Song; Instructor: Cliff Eberhardt Noon-3pm: Beginning Mandolin; Instructor: Lorraine Hammond Schedule for early Afternoon Session 3:00pm: Guitar Triage 3:30pm-6:30pm: Beginners Guitar. Instructor: Martin Grosswendt 3:30pm-6:30pm: The Art of Guitar Accompaniment; Instructor: Jim Henry 3:30pm-6:30pm: Intermediate to Advanced Mandolin; Instructor: Taylor Armerding 3:30pm-6:30pm: Fingerstyle Blues Guitar; Instructor: Brooks Williams Fees •The fee to attend each afternoon session is $35.00 (WUMB Members $30). You can pay by Visa, Mastercard or Discover. •If you plan to attend both sessions, and would like to order Pizza and a soft drinks or water for the 3:00pm break, you must place the order to do this in advance.
