On Saturday, April 2 at 8pm, the 10-piece band No Static will perform live at the Regent Theatre in Arlington with featured guest, Jon Herington—Steely Dan’s lead guitarist and music director for the past 10 years. Together, in addition to playing fan favorites, they will devote one set to performing the classic album Royal Scam in its entirety. Jon Herington is " Steely Dan's New Guitar Guy "—arguably one of the most coveted slots in popular music. And also, potentially, one of the most intimidating; few musical roles receive the same amount of examination, discussion, and debate as does this one. But Herington handles it with perfection and grace, turning out work, which often evokes the melodic and rhythmic heart of cherished recorded versions while simultaneously displaying his own original and powerful musicality.

Herington played on Steely Dan's GRAMMY-winning CD, Two Against Nature, and their latest release, Everything Must Go, can be seen on Steely Dan's live DVD, and is featured on the Making of Aja DVD from the Classic Albums series. Herington has recently finished a world tour with Boz Scaggs and is currently on his second tour with Steely Dan. No Static is inspired by the genius of Donald Fagen and Walter Becker, and by the hundreds of artists who have helped create their legacy. For the better part of a decade, the band has delivered impeccable live renditions of Steely Dan hits and deep album cuts to their devoted fans all over the Northeast.
