Freisinger Chamber Orchestra

The Boston-based Freisinger Chamber Orchestra began in June, 2008, and has presented twelve concerts. Strings (11-15) and winds (7-10) are mostly graduate students and alumni from Boston University, New England Conservatory, The Longy School of Music, and The Boston Conservatory. Concerts also feature young singers in repertoire from opera to broadway, accompanied by the conductor at the piano. Living composers discuss their pieces after premieres. For its 2009-10 programming, the FCO was a finalist and received honorable mention from The American Prize competition. The FCO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
