  From a longtime fan of everything YES, one whose passion for the great works has not been diminished by 25+ years of so-so releases from the band, Jon Anderson at the Somerville was an uplifting reminder of the ageless spirit of Jon Anderson; the true spirit of YES. Jon effortlessly sang passionate renditions of some great YES songs from All Good People to Turn of the Century, a sampling of Jon and Vangelis and songs from his 35-year solo career; punctuated by 2 pieces (To the Runner, Sound Out the Galleon) and the promise of a full blown live performance of his masterful 1976 release Olias of Sunhillow. Not surprising was Jon's aura of compassion and appreciation for life. However, the effortlessness with which he sung, accompanied himself and entertained with his short stories made the evening zoom by quickly. Jon Anderson's ageless voice transformed song into experience and did for at least one, elicit love and hope for our world and the human spirit. Simply magical! Collapse
