Community is at the heart of The Open Theatre Project's objective. Our members stem from all walks of artistic life: actors, directors, musicians, technicians, producers, and more! We have come to assemble the masses! We would like to extend our greetings to all artistic entrepreneurs and give them a place to express themselves in an open and free environment. Originally started in Ithaca, NY as The Ithaca Theatre Project our company has now expanded to Boston. With a new territory to explore, a new name seemed only fitting, and The Open Theatre Project was born. With a new home comes new possibilities, and we hope that you will join us in creating new and exhilarating performance opportunities. The Open Theatre Project offers sanctuary to any and all artistic minds across the globe. We invite you to share your creativity with us. OTP is students, postgraduates, local community members, professionals, and anyone looking for an outlet for their creativity and talent. We work for each other, and with each other toward accomplishing unified goals. Members of the Open Theatre Project are encouraged to explore all areas of the dramatic and creative processes. We feel it is a necessity to challenge yourself in order to grow personally and professionally. This is the challenge I present to you: Please let us know what we can do to make the Theatre Community, Your Community, a better place to live, work, and play. We are a body of individuals engaged, and committed to nurturing the arts. We are looking to expand our ranks and achieve a global safe haven in which creative minds are able to share and collaborate. I would love to hear from you.
