Organization

The Scandinavian Cultural Center is housed within the Scandinavian Living Center under the Scandinavian Charitable Society of Greater Boston. Our mission is to share the traditional and contemporary cultures of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden with the New England community through exhibitions, performances, lectures, children’s programs, and other events in the beautiful Nordic Hall and the Greater Boston area. The Scandinavian Charitable Society believes that the Living Center and the Cultural Center complement each other through mutually supportive activities while sharing space. The Society, through the Cultural Center, is committed to positioning itself as a hub for the Scandinavian community in New England. The Scandinavian Cultural Center strives to be a location for and source of enriching, thought-provoking events for all who come through our doors as well as a welcoming place for meetings, educational programs, and community functions.
