Acoustic Uproar is a Boston-based concert series which promotes emerging composers and performers in the programming of extremely contemporary music. Founded by Boston University composers Lesley Hinger and Heather Stebbins, Acoustic Uproar provides a much-needed venue for young composers making the transition between the student and professional realms. Acoustic Uproar also seeks to maintain a light but engaging atmosphere at all concerts in order to facilitate absorbing, analytical, and fun conversation about the works and the role of contemporary music in our society.
