The Lexington Symphony is a group of dedicated musicians who share a passion for their music and for exacting standards of performance. With an emphasis on accessibility within the community, the Symphony offers programming to reach all ages and an exciting concert experience in beautiful Cary Hall right in Lexington's historic downtown. Lexington Symphony's Music Director, Jonathan McPhee, is one of New England's leading musical figures and has conducted orchestras throughout the world.

“I closed my eyes and I thought I was in heaven…and I didn’t want the piece to end.”

"We thoroughly enjoyed the entire concert and, as first timers at a Lexington Symphony event, we were extremely impressed with the quality of performance! Kudos to all. We will most certainly attend in the future."

"I think the spirit of this group is tremendous and there ought to be more groups like this in America. It has been my great pleasure to work with you" - James Buswell. violinist and conductor

"This orchestra is wonderful." - Gail Williams, horn, formerly of the Chicago Symphony

"We loved the concert. We brought some friends who will also become regulars because they loved it, too."

"The musicians immediately established the standard for the evening of precise, crisp playing and excellent dynamic control...We congratulate the organization on its creative programming, fine playing, and immediately evident commitment and dedication, and wish it much continued success." - Classical Voice of New England

"It’s a tribute to the quality of Boston’s classical-music scene that a suburban orchestra like the Lexington Symphony is capable of a performance to attract the attention of those who live closer to Symphony Hall. Even if the BSO season were in full swing, last Saturday’s program would have been worth the trip." - Boston Phoenix

"The Andantino...had the rich heat of a Spanish plaza in full sun, and the Scherzo scurried like restless forest creatures, everything clear and in place" - Boston Phoenix
