Turtle Lane Playhouse

Nominated as a Best of Boston Theatre, Turtle Lane presents up to 5 fully staged musicals per year, using paid performers, their own sets, costumes and live orchestra. Fully licensed lounge, handicapped accessible, 10 minutes from Boston, easy to reach from 128/95, Pike and the T. Senior, student, group and association discounts available, as well as season subscriptions.

      This festival was so good last year, we didn't hesitate to return. It is not for children, but a showcase for teen talent, as well as an opportunity for them to work with some of our local favorite... Expand

      This festival was so good last year, we didn't hesitate to return. It is not for children, but a showcase for teen talent, as well as an opportunity for them to work with some of our local favorite actors. It has short original plays with live music in between. Gillian Gordan is a stand-out, and I believe we will say we "saw-her-when". Turtle Lane is always a friendly and comfortable place to spend an entertaining evening. It's wonderful to see the young talent, we will look forward to the 3rd Annual and on and on! Thanks for this great idea James and Turtle Lane! Collapse

      I first saw this on Broadway with Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick. I didn't think Turtle Lane (or anyone) could compare, but to my surprise, it was just as much fun and just as enjoyable. "Max" and "Leo" were great. My only criticism was some of the "gay" parts were over played. See this show if you can. You'll love it! Collapse

      This was one of the best performances I've seen at Turtle Lane Playhouse. I saw this performance at a larger and more expensive venue in Boston and this performance was right up there. I especially enjoyed how easily the actors interchanged roles. Turtle Lane Playhouse is a gem where you can see performances for a lot less money and it's easy to get to. Collapse

      This is a terrifically directed guilty pleasure. "Guilty" because many of the jokes and gags might be termed "politically incorrect" - so consider yourself warned. :-) The music, choreography, costume design and set design are all first-rate. The actors are *all* very strong (Joe Berry channeled Nathan Lane beautifully - not that he had to) and it was a total pleasure to watch and enjoy. A great value and worth catching before the run is up. Collapse
