    Boston Landmarks Orchestra Gala Concert 2012 Sanders Theatre Boston Landmarks Orchestra Gala Concert 2012 Presented by Boston Landmarks Orchestra at Sanders Theatre June 9, 2012 Join the Boston Landmarks Orchestra for their annual Gala concert on June 9th. It will help raise money so the orchestra can continue to perform free concerts on the Hatch Shell and in Boston's neighborhoods. The evening will include a special performance by the Boston Children's Chorus whose founder, Hubie Jones, will be honored at the event. A new work by a young Venezuelan musician living in Boston, Gonzalo Grau, will also be premiered.

    Boston Landmarks Brass Ensemble with 100 Violins from the Pope John Paul II Academy Boston Landmarks Brass Ensemble with 100 Violins from the Pope John Paul II Academy Presented by Boston Landmarks Orchestra June 11, 2012 Come to a celebration of music, bringing the people of Boston together. For this free event, bring a blanket or a chair and a picnic basket! Thanks to the students at Pope John Paul II Academy and the Boston Parks and Recreation Department for their help with this wonderful concert!

      Hobart Earle, currently in his seventeenth season as Music Director and Principal Conductor of the Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra (Ukraine), guest conducted the Boston Landmarks Orchestra in a Mozart and Mendelssohn program at the August 26, 2009 concert of the Landmarks Festival at the Shell in Boston, MA. Over 8,000 people attended the outdoor event. The concert Felix and Wolfgang, commemorated the 200th birthday of Felix Mendelssohn with performances of Mendelssohn’s own compositions and selections from the composer who influenced him the most, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Featuring a 130th anniversary performance of Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante with special guest performers Mariana Green-Hill, violin, and Marcus Thompson, viola. The Orchestra responded with great sensitivity to Hobart’s subtle yet effusive conducting. Collapse
