Boston University College of Fine Arts

Boston University is one of the leading private research and teaching institutions in the world today, with two primary campuses in the heart of Boston and programs around the world. The Boston University College of Fine Arts was created in 1954 to bring together the School of Music, the School of Theatre, and the School of Visual Arts. The University's vision was to create a community of artists in a conservatory-style school offering professional training in the arts to both undergraduate and graduate students, complemented by a liberal arts curriculum for undergraduate students. Since those early days, education at the College of Fine Arts has begun on the BU campus and extended into the city of Boston, a rich center of cultural, artistic and intellectual activity.

      I went to the closing show on May 2. The show was fantastic. It reminded me how excellent theater and musical theater at the college level can be. It made me feel lucky to live in this area and to have such access to the talent that exists at BU. For the average theater goer like myself, it was very hard to see how this production could have been any better. The acting, the singing, the dancing, the orchestra, the sets, etc. were outstanding. It's a shame it only ran for two weekends. I would see it again if it were running another week. Kudos to everyone involved. After seeing BU's production, I have no idea why this show was never a hit on Broadway. I think the show I saw yesterday would be a big hit without any changes. Congratulations. Collapse
