The Hanover Theatre

The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts seeks to create a vibrant cultural destination, bringing world-class theatre, music and entertainment events to central Massachusetts. In doing so, we will:

* Participate fully in the revitalization of downtown Worcester by bringing patrons into the Federal Square area for performing arts events, dining, and shopping.

* Restore a historically and architecturally significant venue.

* Provide a vital resource for central Massachusetts' performing arts, cultural and civic organizations and colleges.

Based on extensive research of other successful venues nationwide. The Hanover Theatre estimates its economic impact to the city of Worcester at approximately $40 million annually, in direct and indirect spending, jobs, property values and taxes. In addition, The Hanover Theatre will enhance the city's Arts District by creating an exciting performing arts destination for patrons of all ages. The Hanover Theatre will reach a wider audience than any other arts organization in our area-more than 170,000 patrons each year.

      I saw Joby in the Malony high school on May 7th and he was great! I never thought there would be another Michael but he is it. Joby--loved your show, thank you. I will go to more of your concerts . I have been a fan of Michael's since i was a little girl. My mother was too. Michael died on my mother;s birthday, June 25th, and that's just something you can't forget. I have some much of Michael's stuff but this video that I took last night takes the cake. I will cherish this viedo for the rest of my life and any other ones I take of Joby Rogers. Thanks Joby. You are really great and for Joby to let us have a pic with him omg I could have fainted when he put his arm around me and I put my arm around his waist. Wow it was great. Thank you Joby again .       A lot of fun for the children. You certainly feel part of the show. The Movers came to all areas of the theater to meet w/ the kids which made many, many smiles. They even came up to the balcony. 90 min show was perfect including Choo Choo Soul. Theater was nice. Parking a bit annoying during a weekday 4pm show. Theater employees very nice and helpful.       I really thought this venue was beautiful and well worth the trip from the Boston Area but they need to work on the climate control in the venue. It was much too hot in the seats.

      I enjoyed this from beginning to end. Joyce Kulhawik did a wonderful job interviewing Steve Martin. The interview was broken up with pictures and video clips projected on the screen behind Kulhawik and Martin. There were lots of memories to be had during this presentation. Martin has had quite a career spanning comedy writing, standup, novels, plays, acting, songwriting and banjo playing. Lots of fun. Collapse
