      I have had the pleasure of seeing Toad the Wet Sprocket on 5 different occasions. Each time I see them it seems there mix only gets better. Glen Phillips is such a hidden treasure as a song writer.... Expand

      I have had the pleasure of seeing Toad the Wet Sprocket on 5 different occasions. Each time I see them it seems there mix only gets better. Glen Phillips is such a hidden treasure as a song writer. The remaining 3 members of the band are all very strong as well. They just played in Foxboro back in April and were fantastic. I have never seen them at an outdoor venue and look forward to doing so. Collapse

      It was a wonderful night of nostalgia for Joan's fans. There were few people in the audience who were not old enough to have seen her 50 years ago at Club 47 or the Newport Folk festival. She mixed early ballads like "Silver Dagger" (much more uptempo than at Club 47) to new songs from her most recent album. Personally I liked her solo performance of "House Carpenter" the best - it was most reminiscent of the time I had a terrible crush on her. Joan doesn't have the same upper register she did 50 years ago, but her voice is still beautiful, and her selection of numbers, from solo a capella, solo guitar, and numbers with a backup band was great. "Who wrote this thing, anyhow?" she quipped after muffing a transition in "Diamonds & Rust", but the rest of the performance was flawless. I don't believe her when she says "I'd rather have the Grammy", though. Collapse

      I saw Los Lobos back in 2007 and these guys are tremendous , well worth the ride and the tickets are a bargain. Boardinghouse Park is an awesome venue, and my girlfriend and the crew we're bringing... Expand
