Come enjoy a fun, affordable day with the kids at The Discovery Museums in Acton! Everything is hands-on so we say "please touch and explore!" You won't find exhibit explanations here. Families can problem solve by experimenting with each exhibit. Our Children's Discovery building allows younger children (toddler through Pre-K) to explore the wonders of creative play in an intimate setting. Kids can operate a train, race balls in our chain reaction room, experiment at the water table, climb the rainbow slide or serve play food in our 50's style diner. Older children experience everyday science at our Science Discovery building (typically grades K - 8) with open-ended interactive exhibits including a giant Newton's Cradle, an Anti-Gravity mirror, the Sea of Clouds, the Frozen Shadow room and a Mist Tornado. Parking is free. We are located just off Route 2 several miles east of the Route 495 interchange. For information on programs, hours and more, visit
