FirstWorks connects art with audiences year-round through arts presentation, arts learning and arts creation. We seek out, cultivate, and present a range of world-class regional, national, and international arts programming. The exceptional vitality of first expressions and experiences with art propels our mission to: - enhance Providence's reputation and reach as a vibrant center for art and innovation - engage new audiences and artists across the region - catalyze creativity and dialogue - forge communities. Beginning with an unprecedented collaboration with Providence's Department of Art, Culture + Tourism, FirstWorks has formed extraordinary partnerships across the university, arts, and business communities.
