Combining exquisite costuming with a fine sense of period manners, style and customs, the Commonwealth Vintage Dancers bring to life the most popular dances of the 19th and early 20th centuries, when society was in its heyday and dance was a favorite pastime for young and old. Since 1983, the Commonwealth Vintage Dancers’ authentic historical reconstruction, accessible teaching style, and breathtaking performances have treated dancers of every age and skill level to the timeless entertainment, exquisite style, and enduring romance of a bygone era. In addition to performances, the Commonwealth Vintage Dancers organize Grand Balls, Tea Dances, Garden Parties and other period amusements, as well as teaching classes and leading workshops for beginner through advanced dancers.
