Mayhem, mix-ups and a gay (in the old sense of the word) wedding marks the high-spirited hijinx of The Drowsy Chaperone, winner of five 2006 Tony Awards.
Boston POPS, American Pastimes Featuring Kenny Loggins
Join the Boston Pops with conductor Keith Lockhart as they pay tribute to baseball, movies, and rock and roll. The concert includes music from the Pops chart-topping 2009 CD The Red Sox Album, such as "Casey at the Bat" and the Suite from The Natural, and also come of the best film music of the past few decades including a tribute to John Williams. Pop senstaion Kenny Loggins will perform some of his most popular hits including "I'm Alright," "Celebrate Me Home," and "Footloose."
Vinyl Fridays, Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA Boston)
To celebrate The Record: Contemporary Art and Vinyl, Chris and Jennifer Daltry of What Cheer Antiques in Providence, RI, present an all-vinyl showcase. Stroll through The Record exhibition, then stay for DJs spinning a special program of all-disco vinyl, and a showcase of prized albums by local collectors in the Water Café.
Living Together, Gloucester Stage Company
Adjacent to the dining room and simultaneous with the chaos of Table Manners are the ante-upping antics of the family living room. Featuring the full cast from last season's Table Manners including Academy Award-nominee Lindsay Crouse and, according to critic Ed Siegel, "as merry a band of farceurs as you're going to find in the Boston area."
