This was a pleasant evening. Great cast; great set. Not in the 'great' category but totally enjoyable.

When we bought these tickets we didn't know that this was the inauguration of the "new" building. It was very exciting to be a part of the celebration and talent was exploding off the stage. Nice work

I saw 1964 at the Hanover Theatre in Worcester on Sat., October 16. The first 3 songs were downright awful; I almost left. My wife noted the drummer was way off. I didn’t notice that but it just didn’t sound anything at all like the Beatles. Things got better after that, and some of the banter was humorous. But if you’re expecting these guys to duplicate the sound of the early Beatles, you will likely be disappointed as I was. We left at intermission; at least we got out of the parking garage easy. My husband and I loved the play! The subject matter was handled in an entertaining and, ultimately, moving way. The actors were superb, talented beyond their years. (We saw them dressed in mufti in the lobby afterwards.) Performances, direction, staging were certainly up to Broadway standards. I think that Sarah Ruhl is one of the best American playwright working today. Collapse

This production takes the complex and potentially boring topic of crooked accounting and a warped corporate culture and turns it into gripping drama. Kudos especially go to Victor Shopov for playing Jeff Skilling, Enron's President, as being every bit as arrogant, unethical, and charismatic as he was in real life. For my money, Bill Salem, the actor playing Ken Lay, Enron's CEO, goes overboard and makes Lay seem too much like a cartoonish Texas yahoo. The cast is suprisingly large for a production on a relatively small stage, but the director uses the space effectively in both the larger and smaller scenes. In the wake of the ongoing financial crisis that is like Enron raised to the hundredth power, it's hard to imagine a more timely play. Be sure to catch this New England premier--at this ticket price, the show is a genuine bargain. Collapse

I went to see "Girl's Night Out" last Friday night with a couple of friends and it was a laugh out loud, trip down memory lane. The songs were wonderful and it was great how they tied them all in with the characters lives. The characters were terrific and they all had grand singing voices. You couldn't stop dancing in your seats. I would recommend this show to anyone, especially a group of girlfriends because "Girls just wanna have fun!" and fun it was. Collapse
