The show was fabulous, great fun! Unfortunately the tickets we purchased had a face value of $28.50 yet we paid $36.00 per ticket! Bostix stated prior to purchase that the value of each ticket was $60.00 we would pay $30 + a $6 fee equaling $36.00. We were in the balcony where other ticket holders paid between $25-$40 through ticketmaster. Bostix left me very disappointed, and hesitant to use them again. Collapse

I have been a patron of the NSMT for about 20 years and there have been disappointing shows in the past. This one however is wonderful. The leads were excellent, both in their singing and their comedic skills, and the dancing was amazing. I laughed a LOT -. This was one of the best shows I have seen there in ages and I hope it continues. The theater building is so great - it was a shame to see it dark for a while. Keep this quality coming! Collapse

I couldn't see how the stage production could possibly top the movie...but it did. The acting, singing, creative use of the round stage were perfect. It cannot be easy living up to Steve Martin's brilliance in the co-starring role, but the actor was great. The actor who played the Michael Caine role was excellent also and had a beautiful voice. The kids we took also loved the show, especially the performance of the mid-western fiance. Music and lyrics seemlessly intertwined in storytelling. Really creative and funny songs and production. Easily Broadway caliber. Collapse

This is such a fun adult show, I've just returned from a thoroughly enjoyable night at North Shore Music Theatre. It's a bit of a guilty pleasure, having seen two performances of "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" in NYC, and I'm happy to report NSMT's version in the round more than measures up. Brent Barrett has the best voice of the Lawrence Jamisons I've seen (John Lithgow and Jonathan Pryce) and he uses it to good measure in the act II ballad. The cast is excellent all around, not enough space to go into individual performances. Some numbers actually work better in the round. It was my first trip back since the theater reopened, and I have to compliment Bill Hanney on doing a great job refurbishing the facility. The standing ovation tonight was well-deserved. David Yazbeck's score is witty but also crass, but it's all in good fun, and much of it is so outrageous all you can do is laugh. Just go, you won't be sorry! Collapse
