Comment on Facebook The mission of the Goethe-Institut Boston is to foster international cultural cooperation. The institute organizes and supports a wide spectrum of cultural events on current topics in culture and politics of Germany and Europe.
The Goethe-Institut Boston organizes workshops and seminars for multiplicators and teachers of German as a foreign language. Our language division offers a comprehensive program of courses and examinations.
The Literatursalon of the Goethe-Institut Boston presents every year new publications from Germany which are discussed in regular reading groups and author readings. Current newspapers, German television, and a selection of new German films are available for the visitors' information.

Electronic Music Concert - Thomas Ankersmit is a musician and installation artist based in Berlin and Amsterdam. His main instruments are the Serge analogue modular synthesizer, computer and alto saxophone. He frequently works together with New York minimalist Phill Niblock and electroacoustic artists Valerio Tricoli and Kevin Drumm. At the time of the performance, he will have just completed a visiting artist residency at CalArts.

Pronounced a genius at the age of 10 by no less than Gustav Mahler, Erich Korngold was hailed as the very last breath of the Romantic spirit in Vienna. We are thrilled to keep that spirit alive with a rare performance of two rare works: Mahler's only piece of chamber music, and Korngold's astonishing Suite for piano left hand and strings.
