He documented the Westernization of traditional society in Papua New Guinea, from lawlessness in urban Port Moresby to cultural struggles throughout the Highlands and Sepik River region. The exhibition is an in-depth study of cultural erosion as well as a celebration of an ancient people. Student archaeologists unearthed evidence of colonial Harvard as a landscape shaped by social and religious tensions.

    08/06/12- 12/31/14	Storied Walls: Murals of the Americas Peabody Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology Storied Walls: Murals of the Americas Presented by Peabody Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology at Peabody Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology August 6, 2012-December 31, 2014 Features large-scale drawings, photographs, and actual pieces of murals from the Awatovi, Maya, and Moche cultures. From New Mexico and Guatemala to the desert cities of Peru, the murals provide a rare and unique glimpse into the past.
    05/12/09- 12/30/13	Exhibition: Wiyohpiyata: Lakota Images of the Contested West Peabody Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology Exhibition: Wiyohpiyata: Lakota Images of the Contested West Presented by Peabody Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology at Peabody Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology May 12, 2009-December 30, 2013 Wiyohpiyata: Lakota Images of the Contested West explores the meanings of a recently discovered nineteenth-century "artist's book," in the collection of Houghton Library, that had been recovered from the Little Big Horn battlefield after Custer's defeat in 1876. The exhibit presents colored drawings by Plains Indian warriors from the book with historic Lakota objects from the Peabody's collections.
