Avenue Q
Presented by The Lyric Stage Company of Boston at The Lyric Stage Company
Music and Lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx
Book by Jeff Whitty
Part flesh (humans), part felt (puppets), and packed with heart (universal), Avenue Q is a laugh-out-loud musical that tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. There, he meets the girl next door, a Republican, an internet sexpert, and Gary Coleman (need we say more?), along with other colorful types who help Princeton finally discover his purpose in life. Warning: contains adult language and puppet nudity. Not for the kiddies, but your teenagers will think you’re cool if you take them!
Winner of the Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Book.
“a savvy, sassy, and eminently likable, breakthrough musical.”

Billy Elliot the Musical
Presented by Broadway In Boston at Boston Opera House
Billy Elliot the Musical is the joyous celebration of one boy's journey to make his dreams come true. Set in a small town, the story follows Billy as he stumbles out of the boxing ring and into a ballet class, discovering a surprising passion that inspires his family and his whole community. A big musical with an even bigger heart, Billy Elliot will enchant the dreamer in all of us. Based on the international smash-hit film, Billy Elliot is brought to life by a phenomenal cast and the Tony Award-winning creative team (director Stephen Daldry, choreographer Peter Darling and writer Lee Hall) along with music legend Elton John, who has written what the New York Post calls "his best score yet!"
Is Billy Elliot Good for Kids?
Just because a show is about a child doesn’t mean it’s necessarily for children. The show is littered liberally with the sort of bad language you’d expect to find in a blue-collar community during tough times (some of the best expletives are delivered by the show’s child stars themselves), though nothing worse than you’d hear on your average late-night cable drama. A few mildly violent riot scenes and a 2+ hour running time may make the show unsuitable for your own youngsters, but the show’s message, content and story and content are a definite don’t-miss for ages 8 and above.

JIM LAULETTA
A favorite act wherever he goes, Jim mixes his cynical, biting, self-deprecating material with some of the most off the wall off the wall and original impressions you'll EVER see. Quoted by the Boston Globe as "...off-beat and original." Not only is Jim one of the most popular headliners in New England, he's a regular performer in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. Jim also has an impressive resume of national television credits which include: HBO's US Comedy Arts Festival's "Best of the Fest," NBC,A&E's "Caroline's Comedy Hour", Comedy Central's "Two Drink Minimum", "Stand-up, Stand-up", "Make Me Laugh", "Comic Re-mix" and "Shorties Watchin' Shorties" and Comcast's "Comedy Spotlight". With out a doubt, Jim's show will leave you wanting more. No two shows are exactly alike but do, however, include his signature closing bits: the insane Roy Schieder as Chief Brody in the film "JAWS" with a surprising twist. Not to mention, the ever popular trip to insanity and homage to a true comedy legend: Don Knotts as BATMAN!! No hugs from his Dad means a great night of entertainment for all. Every Tuesday he headlines and hosts a showcase of Boston's latest comedy sensations and tried and true veterans.
