Cape Ann Artisans 2012 Spring Open Studio Tour
Presented by Cape Ann Artisans Tour June 23-June 24, 2012 This self-guided tour along the scenic coastline of Gloucester and Rockport presents a unique opportunity to meet 21 professional artists and see their work in the setting in which it was created. The work represented includes: pottery, painting, sculpture, photography, mosaics, jewelry, hand made glass beads, and weaving. "Of Cuban Invention" - Exhibit featuring the works of eight world-renowned Cuban artists
Presented by AIB: The Art Institute of Boston May 10-June 16, 2012 The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University presents “Of Cuban Invention,” an exhibit featuring over 45 works on paper, painting, and sculpture by eight world-renowned Cuban artists.
The exhibit coincides with the 40th anniversary of the Center for Cuban Studies (CCS) in New York City, which in 1991 spearheaded a successful lawsuit against the U.S. Treasury Department that legalized the importation and sale of original Cuban art.
