The Charles Playhouse
The Charles Playhouse is an intimate, interactive setting which boasts a very close "seat to stage" ratio. Built as the Fifth Universalist Church in 1839, the Charles Playhouse has had a few incarnations before having it's current guide. In 1864 it became the first synagogue in Boston and after that it transformed into 'The Lido Venice'. The original Charles Playhouse was on Charles Street before moving to its current location.
