| Berklee BeanTown Jazz Festival: Elan Trotman |
Presented by Berklee College of Music at Scullers Jazz Club
September 22, 2010
Although during the day Berklee alumnus/music teacher Elan Trotman is found cultivating the minds of children to love music, at night he is a well-known member of the Boston, Providence, and New England music scenes. Trotman has performed, recorded, and toured with an elite group of artists—among them are Grammy Award-winning r&b vocalists, Roberta Flack and Brian McKnight, multi Grammy-nominated saxophonist Kirk Whalum. He serves as the musical director, saxophonist/keyboardist, and longtime member of the Bronson Arroyo Band, named for the Major League Baseball pitcher. He has also won awards for Best New Act (1998) at Barbados Nation Awards and Best Jazz Artist (2008) New England Urban Music Awards.
