Presented by Boston Baroque at First Church in Cambridge, Congregational February 12, 2012 Concertmaster Christina Day Martinson gives a tour de force performance of one of the pinnacles of the virtuoso violin repertoire—playing multiple violins tuned differently—to resonate differently for each sonata. Each of these sonatas depicts one of the mysteries of the rosary, and, as a set, they take us on a remarkable musical journey. With Boston Baroque players Christina Day Martinson, violin; Martin Pearlman, keyboards; Sarah Freiberg, cello; and Victor Coelho, theorbo.
