"Ragtime: The American Hooked Rug Tradition"
Presented by Osterville Museum May 31-September 28, 2012 Early hooked rugs were born of necessity: recycled fabrics and yarn (or just recycled textiles) became rugs that warmed homes. Today, this technique has become an artistic expression. Join us in exploring the history of Osterville--from our Crosby Boat Shops to our 1700s Cammett House and Colonial herb gardens. On Fridays, the Museum hosts the Osterville Farmers' Market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
