"Ragtime: The American Hooked Rug Tradition"
Presented by Osterville Museum May 31-September 28, 2012 Early hooked rugs were born of necessity: recycled fabrics and yarn (or just recycled textiles) became rugs that warmed homes. 'SuperMom Unveiled' exhibition
Presented by Dara Herman-Zierlein June 8-June 17, 2012 SUPERMOM UNVEILED is an art show featuring women artists from different generations and multi-cultural backgrounds whose common theme are their interpretations and realities about Motherhood.

Alexander Nevsky
Presented by Harvard Film Archive at Harvard Film Archive May 28, 2012 Eisenstein created this rousing nationalist epic of medieval Slavs driving out Teutonic invaders. Despite the screen time devoted to a belabored comic subplot concerning a love triangle, Alexander Nevsky remains one of his most popular and influential films. The film provides endless examples of Eisenstein’s genius not just at combining shots but at composing them as well, while the battle scenes demonstrate his continued mastery at choreographing electrifying action. The use of an...

He was drawn to the subject in all its forms, from rain, fog, mist and clouds to ice and snow. He also photographed water's effects in tide pools, weathered buildings and erosion patterns. His fascination with surf and crashing waves fed his interest in waterfalls and rapids in the High Sierra. In Yellowstone, it fueled his photographs of Old Faithful.
As in the famous Surf Sequence...
