Plugging In: Selling Tickets in the Digital Age Workshop
In July 2015, ArtsBoston collaborated with Capacity Interactive to help ArtsBoston members bring the power of digital marketing to their audiences.
The Workshop
Using research and case studies from visual and performing arts organization, Capacity Interactive provided guidelines and strategies for evolving your organization in the digital age, as well as actionable tips to focus and bolster your digital marketing. The session explored best practices in social media, web analytics, website strategy, digital advertising, content creation, search engine marketing, and mobile outreach.
The Presenter
Erik Gensler is the President of Capacity Interactive, a digital marketing consulting firm for the arts, whose clients include some of the country’s leading arts institutions including Boston Ballet, Celebrity Series, The Kennedy Center, and Jazz at Lincoln Center.
Erik founded Digital Marketing Boot Camp for the Arts, a two-day conference held each October in New York City. Erik has presented sessions and keynote speeches on digital marketing for conferences and organizations including Opera America, the League of Resident Theaters, Tessitura, Dance USA, the Gamification Summit, the Arts & Business Council, the National Arts Marketing Conference, and New York Foundation for the Arts. He has guest lectured at Yale, Columbia, and NYU, and has been featured on the Carnegie Mellon Arts & Technology podcast series and webinars.
Erik began his career at Marakon Associates, an international management consulting firm. Erik holds a dual degree in Economics and Communication from Northwestern University.
